Hi Nadine! Nice to see you blogging again. Looks like you're rockin' that 36 kg bell! Love the yoga you're doing. How do you like the Ashtanga?
Gayle
Hi Gayle!! Thanks, I am lovin' the 36kg bell.
I LOVE the Ashtanga yoga! To me, it feels like a complete practice. I enjoy the yoga on YDL, but a lot leave out the forward bends and shoulder stand(and headstand) which I found myself doing on my own at the end of the practice. I saw you are adding in a lot of yoga too :) Don't you love the way you feel afterwards?... so calm and peaceful and ready to start the day :)!
I'm really enjoying the yoga, too. I had a check up earlier this year and my doc told me I need to find strategies to minimize my stress levels. Yoga seems to fit the bill. I can definitely tell when I'm not doing it.
I hear you. It had been a rough fall emotionally, and yoga helped keep me sane! Without sounding like a total dork :p - I really try and listen to the message of the practice, and take that to heart on and off the mat. Being in headstand for a few minutes also helps center me.
You're so NOT a dork. I get that completely. :)
:)
